Full of decadence, beautifully restored and bursting with stylish glamour, Palacio Principe Real is a luxury haven in the centre of this chic city. Formerly a cherished family home and mecca for Lisboan high society, the palace has been carefully and tastefully restored to keep its character, enhanced with stylish décor and furnishings with a multitude of exceptional art. You will be wowed from upon entering through the gates to discover the tranquil garden and terrace with a gorgeous Asian style infinity pool tucked behind purple polyglia.

The Palácio offers 27 lovingly restored rooms and suites, all of which have been individually decorated to the highest standard - think stately home meets chic city townhouse. In the rooms you will find free standing bathtubs, beautiful stucco ceilings, Portuguese tiles, luscious fabrics and ornate furnishings. All rooms have amazing natural light through large windows on all sides, with views out over the gardens and city, with all the home comforts you could wish for with Nespresso coffee machines, underfloor heating and a SMEG fridge filled with little treats to relish.

Food here follows the ethos of simple honest fare, providing a seasonal and predominantly plant-based menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast can be served in your room, on the terrace or even by the pool. Being perfectly placed in the heart of Lisbon there are plenty of high-quality restaurants around to choose from, followed by a nightcap back at The Duck in the hotel. There is a small spa with two treatment rooms offering massages and facials, yoga in the mornings and a heated swimming pool in the garden.

Right in the heart of one of Lisbon’s loveliest districts, with a mix of buzzing cafes, restaurants and bars. The Botanical Gardens are just at the top of the road; in the other direction lies the not-to-be-missed Igreja de São Roque, with its ornate interiors. The magnificent Praça do Comercio which opens out onto the waterfront is a 20-minute stroll through Chiado. Lisbon airport is a 20-minute drive away.
