Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Nepal has a Monsoonal climate with four main seasons. Autumn and spring are the two most favourable seasons for visiting Nepal. Autumn (September to early December) brings in clear weather with sunny days and warm nights. Spring (March to May) with occasional rain falls. From June to September, is the monsoon season. Uncomfortable time to visit as the climate of Nepal at this time of year brings about hot weather and rain falls almost every day. Phuket follows a similar weather pattern to Nepal, wtih the best time to visit being from November - April as the monsoon brings heavy rain from May to October.

Nepal is an incredible destination full of adventurous activities whilst Thailand provides a playground in paradise. This epic itinerary is the perfect combination for the whole family with plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.

  1. Days 1-3: Kathmandu

Your first stop in Nepal will be Kathmandu, a fascinating city busy with bazaars, amazing little restaurants and roads crowded with bicycles, monks and plenty to see and do around each corner. The heritage and architecture of the city is incredible, and we suggest spending your full day here exploring vibrant areas such as Kathmandu Durbar Square with its narrow alleyways full of architectural gems and markets such as the spice market and bazaar of Thamel. Your private guide will expertly lead you to through all the highlights in Kathmandu and can of course tailor and adjust your day depending on how you are feeling on the day.

Accommodation: The Inn Patan (2 nights)

  2. Days 3-4: Annapurna Region

Today, after taking a direct flight to Pokhara, you will start your trek along the Annapurna Range. This is a fantastic way to experience the beauty this area as you walk from lodge to lodge. You will have a private guide with you through the trek who will be able to tailor the walking to your own pace. Most mornings will be spent trekking and afternoons can either be at your own leisure, enjoying some down time or for those that want to explore further your guide will be able to take you on short walks to visit surrounding villages - a great way to experience rural local life in this area. Your first night of the trek will be spent in Birethanti, a small village in the Modi Valley with a number of lovely local tea shops to pop into.

    Accommodation: Sanctuary Lodge (1 night)

  3. Days 4-5: Annapurna Region

Moving on today you will trek in the morning, upwards to the mountains, leaving the surrounding farmland behind. The end point for today is Ghandruk village one of the largest Gurung villages in the area which also provides magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. If you are keen to explore further this afternoon we suggest taking a stroll through the town with its interesting network of terraces where crops are grown and beautiful slate roofed houses.

    Accommodation: Himalaya Lodge (1 night)

  4. Days 5-6: Annapurna Region

As you continue the trek, you will need to cross the Modi River by way of a strong suspension bridge. Upon reaching Landruk, you will not be disappointed by your hard work as you are treated to even more spell binding views of the mountain peaks before you.

Accommodation: La Bee Lodge (1 night)

  5. Days 6-7: Annapurna Region

On the penultimate day of your trek you will head for the quiet area of Majgaun where you will have a tranquil final night as you take some time to enjoy the incredible views of this region. For those that want a little more adventure in the afternoon, of course trips to the surrounding villages can be arranged to really get a taste of traditional rural life.

    Accommodation: Gurung Lodge (1 night)

  6. Days 7-9: Chitwan National Park

Today you will depart the trek as you make your way, with your guide, back to Dhampus which is just a short drive from Pokhara airport from where you will be able to connect to your onward flight to Bharatpur where the next part of your adventure really begins. Coming from the spectacular views of the Annapurna Range upon landing you will be greeted with a whole new landscape full of lush flora and fauna and the chance to feel like intrepid explorers.

You will have two nights to explore Chitwan National Park which covers more than 900 square kms with some of the best wildlife opportunities in Asia. Here you will spend your days exploring the park with jeep safaris, jungle walks, river safaris all accompanied by expert naturalists. Sightings include the greater one-horned Rhinoceros, spotted deer and Samar Deer and if you are lucky you may be able to also add to the list leopard, sloth bear and Royal Bengal Tiger.

Accommodation: Tiger Tops Tharu Lodge (2 nights)

  7. Days 9-10: Kathmandu

For your last full day in Nepal you will travel back to Kathmandu on a short flight where you will have one final night in the city. Kathmandu is a buzzing city by night and day and we suggest checking out a night market this evening to pick up any last-minute souvenirs and to take in the vibrant street scenes.

    Accommodation: Dwarika's (1 night)

  8. Days 10-15: Phuket

Your final stop on your family adventure is the west coat of Phuket where you will have five nights on the beach, reachable with a connecting flight through Bangkok. Known for its white sand beaches fringed with palm trees this is the perfect end to your epic family adventure. There is no end to what you can do here from spending the days snorkelling, kayaking and exploring the surrounding coastlines. For those that want to just sit back and relax, the options are equally plentiful from lounging around the pool, paddling in the calm waters of the beach or being totally indulged in the spa.
