If you're searching for the best family skiing holidays for teenagers, look no further than Val d’Isère, Madonna di Campiglio, Zermatt or Aspen. These resorts offer a mix of beginner and intermediate skiing, with a variety of options for the more advanced too. If you're planning a luxury family ski holiday in Europe, the season generally runs from the end of November to April, depending on the exact location. School holidays, including New Year and February half-term, are popular times to hit the slopes, especially among those with younger children.
Most resorts enjoy their best conditions in January and February, with a higher chance of fresh snowfall. However, March and April often offer sunny, clear days that are ideal for panoramic mountain views.
The most snow-sure resorts are typically at higher altitudes, with Val Thorens, the highest in Europe, providing great skiing and snowboarding conditions from November to May.
You'll also find extended snow seasons further afield, with Canadian and American resorts offering superb snow from November to May.
