To start planning your holiday to Hotel Adlon Kempinski
The Adlon Kempinski is arguably the most famous hotel in Berlin and an important landmark of the city. Overlooking the famous Brandenburg Gate, it's an iconic place to stay, which offers top level service and very luxurious accommodation and facilities.
The Hotel Adlon owes its name to its original owner, Lorenz Adlon, who opened the hotel in 1907. Rebuilt using the original plans and designs from the ground up after the damage it suffered during and after World War Two the Adlon finally re-opened in 1997. Today, the hotel is one of Berlin's most fashionable, frequented by politicians, visiting heads of state, and stars of the entertainment industry.
The location of Hotel Adlon Kempinski is extremely convenient for shopping and sightseeing in Berlin. The famous Brandenburg Gate is right outside: in fact 2 of its 4 restaurants and many of its upper category rooms and suites offer views over the Gate.
The hotel is on the Unter den Linden Boulevard, the grandest street in Berlin, where you will find the German History Museum, State Opera, and numerous embassies. The hotel was badly damaged in the second world war but a painstaking renovation in the late 90s restored the building to its former glory.
The hotel boast four outstanding restaurants, as well as a modern and well-appointed spa with excellent pool and gym facilities.
The Adlon houses 304 rooms and 78 suites, some of them overlook the 'Unter den Linden' boulevard and the Brandenburg Gate. All rooms are equipped with individually adjustable air-conditioning, separate bathtub, shower and separate toilet. There are six unique rooms which offer hypoallergenic pillows and fabrics as well as two rooms with improved accessibility.
Lorenz Adlon Esszimmer, curated by two-Michelin-starred chef Hendrik Otto, offers exquisite fine dining and is one of Berlin's very best restaurants. The Le Petit Felix represents a less formal option with a Provencal twist. There's also a fabulous Asian restaurnat called Sra Bua and the brasserie style Restaurant Quarre.
The Adlon Spa by Resense offers first class beauty treatments, massages and care programmes. In addition there is also a hair salon and a pool and gym area.
