Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
The Central Valley is a year-round destination but the most pleasant months to visit are October to April. Summer (November to April) is hot, and there is lots of sunshine. Over winter (June to September) you’ll see the Andes wreathed in snow but the weather is chilly and rain can be an issue. Spring-like September is Chile's national independence month, and is full of activity.

Reviews
(Press)
The dream child of Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril, Clos Apalta is the Colchagua Valley's most luxurious and exclusive lodging option and is without a doubt one of the most special places to stay in Chile. Few hotels in Chile provide guests with more bucolic, peaceful surroundings than Clos Apalta's four casitas or small individual units, each named for the primary red grape varietals planted on the property. The casitas (accessible by stairs or an electric elevator) are nestled on a hillside near their winery and by the guesthouse, which is more or less the main body of the winery area itself and offers less privacy. All guest rooms are elegantly appointed and modernist in decor, with lots of dark wood, white and ecru-colored fabrics, freshly cut flowers, plush bathrooms, and, in the case of the casitas, with wooden decks that afford truly magnificent, wide-open views of the Apalta Valley. On the grounds is a heated infinity pool complete with a waterfall; horseback riding, tours of the winery, and gourmet meals - accompanied, of course, by a bottle of Clos Apalta's extraordinary wine - are included in the price.
