Itinerary

Prepare to tantalise your taste buds on this gourmet themed itinerary that whisks you through some of Argentina and Chile’s most cosmopolitan and exciting urban areas, as well as their famously revered wine lands. We understand that you want the very best during your trip, so our experts have carefully handpicked the most exclusive and indulgent hotels to reflect your lifestyle.

  1. Fly to Buenos Aires

  2. Days 1-4: Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is one of the world’s most energetic and glamourous cities, fuelled by hip wine bars and tango beats, you’ll want to hit the ground running in order to make the most of it! On arrival, transfer to the city's most outrageously opulent and contemporary hotel. Located in the heart of town, with a cool waterfront setting, you’re just moments from some of the city’s main attractions, sceney cocktail bars and al fresco restaurants.

We have included a few fun experiences to help you explore this fabulous capital city and get your taste buds going. A quick orientation tour will whisk you around the city’s best neighbourhoods, visiting the colourful houses of La Boca, the antique markets of San Telmo and upmarket Palermo with its leafy green streets and trendy eateries. Embark on a unique culinary tour, where mouth-watering steaks and exquisite Malbec (amongst other treats) will be the perfect introduction to Argentina’s food and culture. You’ll also have the chance to make some of the country’s favourite street snacks, including savoury filled empanadas and sweet, dulce de leche filled alfajores. Finally, one evening you’ll witness a steamy and seductive tango show in the swanky, low-lit venue in your hotel, where you’ll be served a delicious three-course meal accompanied by unlimited premium wines and champagne (and no concerns about getting home either).

Accommodation: Faena Hotel Buenos Aires (3 nights)

  3. Days 4-7: Mendoza Wine Region

Leaving the city behind, it’s only a short flight to Mendoza, the heart of Argentina's wine country and home to fabulous landscapes and year-round sunshine. Your luxury lodge is nestled amongst a 60-acre private vineyard and boasts stupendous views of the magnificent snow-capped Andes on the horizon. This is blissful escapism at its best. All meals (the chef champions organic and local produce) and a range of activities are included during your stay. You’re free to do as much or as little as you like, it is a holiday after all! You can visit countless boutique vineyards by bike or if you’re worried about being a little wobbly, let a private chauffeur take you around instead. After a little overindulgence you might want to do something active, so why not get wet and wild on a white-water rafting experience or tack up and ride a horse through the vineyards? The hotel also has an amazing spa, with a variety of signature treatments designed to pamper and rejuvenate you, some of which naturally incorporate grapes! Of course, you might just want to relax beside the pool and catch up on your favourite book, before visiting the wine cellar in the evening, once more.

Accommodation: Cavas Wine Lodge (3 nights)

  4. Days 7-9: Valparaiso

It’s time to wave goodbye to Argentina as you take a quick flight over the Andes and touchdown in Chile's capital Santiago, before a transfer to the picturesque port town of Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage site brimming with quirky cafés and bars, artists’ workshops and fascinating street art. Your hotel enjoys an enviable location with beautiful views out over the labyrinth of winding narrow streets, brightly coloured buildings and Pacific Ocean on the horizon. There’s a real bohemian feel to the place and the laidback vibe makes it ideal for just wandering around and whiling away long lazy afternoons with a bottle of wine and a few nibbles whilst waiting for the glorious sunset.

    Accommodation: Casa Higueras (2 nights)

  5. Days 9-12: Central Valley

With the end of your culinary and wine experience looming on the horizon, it’s now time for Chile's wine lands to blow you away! Your final retreat is the uber-stylish and ultra-modern Vina Vik, enjoying an unrivalled location with rolling hills, endless vineyards and majestic mountains, a place best saved until last.

Each of the funky suites features distinctive décor and the floor to ceiling windows offer panoramic views over the magnificent and beautiful surroundings. Fully geared up to provide you with the best possible stay, there are also a load of activities for you to choose from, including a private tour of the vineyard and winery, along with a tasting session with one the expert sommeliers. Horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking are all part of the experience, but so too is downtime. The infinity pool offers a beautiful backdrop for your final social media update and you’ll want to toast each delicious dinner as if it were your last.

    Accommodation: Vik Chile (3 nights)

  6. Fly home from Santiago

All good things must come to an end, so take your time over breakfast and soak up that fabulous view one last time, as later you will transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
