Description

Sapi Explorers Camp is ideally located on the banks of the Zambezi River offering the perfect base to explore both the private Sapi Reserve and Mana Pools National Park, as well as the mighty Zambezi River.

Activities at Sapi Explorers Camp take place in the Mana Pools National Park and neighbouring private Sapi Reserve. Following the conversion of the Sapi Safari Area into a private photographic reserve in 2016 , these two wildlife rich areas now combine to form a protected wilderness of 337,600 hectares. This wildlife hotspot is a reliable water source which draws in huge numbers of animals, and 80-85% of the area is only accessible on foot, making this an ideal walking safari destination.

This intimate camp is the newest addition to the Great Plains Conservation collection, a company highly invested in the conservation efforts of Africa, as well as providing luxurious African safaris with stylish camps that compliment their surroundings. To thoroughly enjoy this Mana Pools sojourn, we recommend guests also stay at Great Plains Sapi Springs Camp, which offers a different perspective of the regions landscape and habitat.

Sapi Explorers Camp consists of five explorers-style tented rooms located on the Zambezi River. Each of these tents are airy and spacious with en-suite bathroom facilities including an out door bucket shower and flush toilet.

During your stay at Sapi Explorers Camp you will explore the renowned Mana Pools National Park on 4x4 game drives in search of  large herds of  elephant and the many predators that reside here, and encounter some of Africa's largest species on foot with exceptional photographic opportunities. Other activities include canoeing and boating on the Zambezi River.
