After meeting your tour guide at the Country Music Hall of Fame, you will travel together to the famous RCA Studio B. Built by Dan Maddox in 1957, to complement the smaller studio A, studio B is largely credited for developing the popular Nashville Sound of the early 1960s. A sophisticated arrangement of background vocals and strings, the Nashville Sound both revived the popularity of country music and helped to establish Nashville as an international recording centre. Elvis Presley, the Everly Brothers, Eddy Arnold, and Chet Atkins have all recorded here. Your guide will share with you the history of the studio, stories from famous recording sessions, and show you the tools of the trade, as you listen to the music produced here. You can even touch the Steinway piano once a favourite of Elvis.
