After an early rise, your guide will collect you from your hotel for a trip along the Mississippi River in search of wildlife. The river’s pristine swamps and tidal marshes mean the biodiversity in this region is impressive and there is the opportunity to see a range of wildlife, including alligators, shore birds, water birds and migratory birds that use the river basin throughout the year. During the journey, your guide, who grew up in the area, will reveal the local way of life, talk about the days gone by and explain the importance of the land to the community. At the end of the tour, your guide will take you back to the hotel.
