Snorkelling at Cano Island

Caño Island Biological Reserve is a paradise for diving and snorkeling. This unspoiled 600-acre island has also a major archaeological importance since it was used as a cemetery in Pre-Columbian times. Around Caño Island guests will have the opportunity to snorkel through warm pristine waters, home to numerous species of marine life. Snorkellers will have great chances to spot triggerfish, needlefish, parrotfish, angelfish, puffers, grunts, barracudas as well as rays, sea turtles and white tip reef sharks. This tour lasts all day and includes snorkeling equipment and a picnic lunch.
Diving trips can also be arranged, and the site is one of the world's top shark sites.
