Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
The best times to visit Istanbul are in spring (April to May) and autumn (September to October), when skies are clear and temperatures are moderate. During July and August it is hot and steamy; a lot of Istanbullus head for the west and south coasts over these months and some businesses close. Biting winter winds and snow are common in winter.
Be aware that during the five-day Kurban Bayrami banks shut and ATMs can run out of money. During Ramadan business hours can be erratic. Hotel rooms skyrocket in price and are often overbooked during the Formula 1 Grand Prix in June.

Reviews
Fiona Bickmore (Staff)
About a 20 minute walk from the centre but the pool and the space you get when staying down in the Bosphorus is unbeatable. The building used to be a private palace so the rooms are enormous with lovely high ceilings. This hotel suits families really well, after a long hot day of sightseeing you can dive into the pool or indulge yourself in their fabulous spa.
The terrace is a great spot to sit and have a drink and a meal and watch boats cruise along the Bosphorus - if you get a chance to do a boat ride it is highly recommended - especially at night when the city looks amazing all lit up.
