Days 1-3: Bangkok
Landing in Bangkok, your family holiday begins as you are whisked away from the airport by your private driver, headed for the Peninsula, one of the best family friendly properties right in the heart of the city. Kids will love the spacious pool and riverside location with the exciting option of taking the hotel shuttle boat to the market, and friendly staff are always on hand to deal with any request, big or small. The Peninsula Academy offers fun cultural programs for children, tailor-made to suit all ages. Our friendly guide will escort you for an exciting trip to Wat Pho and the Grand Palace, former residence of the Thai Royal family. Watch the monks gathering at the temple for their haunting morning chanting, a perfect introduction to Thai life. Marvel at the vast 45m (147ft) long golden Buddha in Wat Pho and explore throne rooms and richly decorated chambers in the Royal Palace.

Days 3-9: Koh Samui
Today you’ll take the short flight over to Koh Samui, where you’ll swap the mayhem of city life for the white sandy beaches and clear waters that have long provided a tropical paradise escape for weary travellers. Whilst well-developed for tourism, it has managed to retain its island charm thanks to endless beaches, quaint fishing villages and inland jungle, thus making it great choice for families.
One of the most exclusive resorts in Koh Samui, the Four Seasons comprises beautiful stand-alone pool villas, with plenty of indoor and outdoor space, offering a secluded and luxurious beachside retreat. Thanks to its remote location, the beach provides a quiet and safe haven for the kids to play and there’s an extensive array of facilities and activities to help keep the whole family entertained.
There are plenty of fun ways to pass the time. Nearby there is great snorkelling in crystal clear waters and many exciting options for day trips, such as island-hopping boat tours, kayaking and visits to cascading waterfalls amidst tropical surroundings, where you might spot playful groups of monkeys swinging through the trees. With a fantastic kids’ club available there’s also an opportunity for the adults to enjoy some quality time together, perhaps at the sumptuous spa or over a round of cocktails at the poolside bar.
Make the most of your final day on the beach, before sadly having to wave goodbye and travelling back to the airport to check in for your flight home.Accommodation: Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui (6 nights)
