This popular half-day cycling tour takes participants through Bang Krachao, a hidden gem of Bangkok that they would unlikely discover on their own. Often referred to as the city's "green lung," this area offers a refreshing escape from the urban hustle. As you cycle through its narrow streets and lush gardens, with almost no traffic in sight, you will feel as if you are miles away from the city.
After a quick bicycle fitting and instructions, set off on a Bangkok cycling adventure. The journey begins with a short boat ride across the Chao Phraya River.
The first stop is Wat Bang Krasop, a secluded Buddhist temple with a history spanning 700 years. Continue cycling deeper into the lush greenery to reach a Muay Thai boxing gym. Learn about this revered national sport and, if interested, try a short lesson from the master.
Continue cycling towards our next stop, where you can choose to paddle through a tunnel of lush nipa palms along the canal in either a paddle boat or canoe. Drift along this tranquil path, immersing yourself in nature and experiencing the feeling of being deep in the jungle. After this peaceful klong ride, indulge in a relaxing 30-minute foot massage from skilled masseuses to simply sit back and unwind. If you’re feeling creative, you can also dive into a batik activity, which can be done either before or after the boat ride and massage, depending on your preferences.
Next, cycle your way to Bangkok Treehouse for a delightful lunch, and afterward, continue exploring the narrow elevated pathways and picturesque rural roads that lead us to the serene Srinakorn Khuean Khan Park. Along the way, you’ll stop to visit a shrine dedicated to Ganesh, the revered Hindu god. Here, the guide shares insights into how Ganesh has become part of Thai Buddhist beliefs.
After that, you will return to the pier and take the boat back to the lively streets of Bangkok.
You do not need to be a cycling enthusiast to join this excursion. The pace is relaxed, with plenty of stops for photos, sightseeing explanations, refreshments, and moments to unwind.
