The Riad Fes courtyard is spectacular, and there is no mistaking where you are in the world. It is a true nod to the gifted artisans that Fes is world renowned for.  I took my time to enjoy my welcome drink and pastries, as I needed to take in the details - traditional archiecture combined with a baroque style.  My suite had a private terrace that overlooked the city of Fes, and my bathroom had the same glorious view. In warm weather, dinner is served outdoors around the water basin beside the bar, and a man played the oud while I dined, creating an exotic atmosphere.

Riad Fes started as a Riad but has grown over the years into a full service hotel, offering a range of services and activities, including a well appointed new spa and an outdoor pool. Well known as the place to see and be seen in this intriguing city, it's worth a visit for cocktails or dinner whether you're lucky enough to be staying here or not.

In the heart of Medina the hotel is a welcome retreat from the busy city, it also has a long history dating back to the 1900s.

The decor is a blend of modern and antique furnishings to give the hotel charm and character.

It has a great roof top restaurant and the food is excellent and I would recommend eating here.
