Conveniently situated in a quiet street of Hassan Al Awal, at one of the main intersections of the old Medina, in the charming city of Chefchaouen, Morocco sits this jewel-like riad. With only 12 rooms this intimate riad maintains its Andalusian-Moroccan charm, with arched doorways, stained glass, or colourful Fez Zelig tile work within the rooms and common areas.
The riad is a combination of two traditional houses that have been lovingly restored; all of the rooms are slightly different yet remain true to the architecture and décor of the original homes while blending seamlessly with modern amenities. The rooms are delightful offering superior comfort and touches such as hand carved cedar wood details, tadelakt walls, and stunning brightly coloured bathroom tiling. After a day of exploring the delightful blue streets of Chefchaouen, Riad Cherifa will be a welcome oasis with comfortable seating areas throughout the property. Lounges and small gardens are scattered throughout the property and are perfect for reading a book or chatting.
The rooftop terrace, complete with lush greenery and flowers, is ideal for relaxing with a mint tea and looking over the city. A traditional Moroccan breakfast is included, and can be taken on the lovely pool-side terrace, surrounded by potted flowering plants. The pool itself is tranquil as it is walled on three-sides for a true oasis feel. An on-site hammam is large and strikingly tiled with blues and golds reminiscent of the city outside.
