A grand, arty and contemporary hotel located in the heart of the medina, El Fenn is unique in Marrakech as it not only has a screening room, but is home to an exciting and inspiring contemporary art collection.

El Fenn is a stunning hotel located only a 5-minute walk from Marrakech's hub and main square, Djemaa El Fna. There are so many places here to tuck yourself away, you could be forgiven for feeling that you have the place all to yourself.

The food is fresh and delicious and much of the produce is sourced from their organic garden out of town together with the local markets. Breakfasts of freshly baked pastries and squeezed juices and light lunches can be enjoyed on the terraces and on at least one of your nights here you should enjoy the fantastic Moroccan dinners the chef prepares for guests who dine under the stars.

El Fenn has extensive facilities which include the restaurant and bar, two massage and treatment rooms, a hammam, well stocked library, three swimming pools and a screening room with digital projector. Guides can be arranged for negotiating the souks or for trips further afield which can include trekking, riding, quad biking and hot air balloon trips.

Mrs Sarah Allen (Guest)

Riad El Fenn was beautiful and in such a brilliant location for exploring the medina and the guide arranged for us on Sunday through you, Mustafa, spoke fantastic English and had a great sense of humour, he made our first day there so interesting, showed us how to find our way round, and helped us get acclimatised to what to most Brits I would suspect find is quite an alien environment! The people in the office at Riad El Fenn were really helpful, they recommended and booked dinner at Tobsil which was a great experience of typical Morrocan food, it was just a short walk away but they kindly provided us with a chap to walk us there and back so we didn't get lost or accosted! The massages at the Riad were fantastic and excellent value. We ate in the restaurant there on our first night and although the food was very good the restaurant lacked ambience due to only a few other diners, but the bar for pre & apres dinner drinks was quite lively and the bartender was a great character - even serenading us on the piano when we came in for a nightcap. Their breakfasts and lunch on the roof terrace were excellent - although very leisurely and this could have been stressful if we'd been in a rush! Very attractive and authentic Morrocan bedrooms - I've attached a few photos of room 20. Whilst I wouldn't recommend El Fenn (or frankly Marrakech at all) for people taking young children it was great for our teenagers and they said it was one of the most interesting holidays we've been on. I fancy going back with a crowd of girlfriends - for spa treats and some Christmas present bargains another year!

Sophisticated and cool are the words that spring to mind with this hotel.

I found that it was the little touches that made the hotel special, such as the beautiful rose garden and the stylish paintings on the walls
