If you want nothing more than to relax on a beautiful beach, swim in the warm Indian Ocean each day and indulge in wonderful food for your honeymoon, why not combine two different islands? Island hopping between Zanzibar and its neighbor island Pemba offers an ideal solution to those who feel restless in one hotel after a week, without the need for doing anything remotely strenuous on your honeymoon! The two islands are really different in terms of terrain and activities and our hand-picked hotels will offer an entirely different experience.
Your first stop is the spice island of Zanzibar, just off the coast of Tanzania, where you will stay at The Residence, a luxurious five star resort situated on the southwest coast of the island. Lounge in your beautiful villa, taking a dip in your private plunge pool and enjoying the warmth of the African sun. Relax on the beach or head into Stone Town and explore the magical, winding streets and its shops and markets. The hotel's spa is fantastic and offers the highest quality treatments and service.
After five nights here, you will fly north to Pemba Island where you will be taken by boat to Fundu Lagoon, set on a beautiful and wild stretch of beach on the west coast of the island. This is the epitome of barefoot luxury and provides a tranquil retreat away from every day life. Here, you can completely relax and unwind. Fundu is ideal for honeymooners and the charming staff will ensure to make your stay as special and memorable as possible. Enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner on the beach with the waves lapping at your feet. Take a picnic and explore the hidden beaches along the coast, or sail in a traditional dhow at sunset with a cocktail in hand.
The diving in both Zanzibar and Pemba is fantastic, if you don't have a PADI, there are fully equipped dive centers at both hotels so you can get your PADI license at The Residence and explore some of the world's leading dive sites at Fundu. Other activities include sailing, deep sea fishing, water skiing and windsurfing.

When to go
Situated only 6° south of the equator, Zanzibar enjoys ideal vacation weather. Temperatures average between 24°C and 27°C throughout the year with 7-9 hours of sunshine per day.
There are 2 rainy seasons: Acute, brief showers, lasting about an hour in the morning occur for a couple of weeks during November. The rains last slightly longer in April and May, but even then it does not rain every day. These rains replenish the Island and are often referred to as the “Green Season”.
