Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a unique gem on the Italian Lakes and even more so on iconic Lake Como, famed for its grand hotels. The hotel has been refurbished bringing it truly up-to-date, with the designers carefully and cleverly blending the historic features of the building with modern touches.
Think vivid fabrics alongside antiques, gloriously modern bathrooms and Art Nouveau detailing. Each of the salons and drawing rooms is charming and welcoming and shy away from the typical formality of other great lake hotels. The T Beach Club and T Spa are amazing additions setting the hotel truly apart with Ibiza style parties and a superb grill restaurant at the former and an a array of ESPA treatments, infinity pool and 5 different types of Jacuzzi at the latter. Guests can choose peace and tranquillity at the "Flowers Pool" in the gardens or a more lively atmosphere at T Beach scattered with loungers and sun-beds and with access to the floating pool.
Cuisine wise, guests have an array of choice. Fine dining is on offer at La Terazza, where the atmosphere is truly romantic with a stunning view of Lake Como across to Bellagio. Or choose to embrace the hotels' proximity to Switzerland and book a table at L'Escale, a cosy and atmospheric Fondue & Wine Bar that offers fondues and grills, accompanied by the best Italian regional wines. On balmy summer evenings guests can pop down to the lakeside terrace too. Park View Prestige Rooms are elegantly furnished and offer a peaceful position overlooking the centuries-old grounds of the hotel. Each of the rooms are different and have either a panoramic bow-window or a balcony.
|Park View Deluxe Room||
Exceptionally spacious and bright, Park View Deluxe Rooms offer a master bedroom and living area with bow-window or small terrace, and are also ideal for a family of three.
The rooms are tastefully decorated with period furniture from the Hotel’s historic collection. Bathrooms are beautifully finished with red Alicante or Spring Yellow marble features; all have double basin and separate shower and bath.

Lake View Prestige Rooms combine elegant interiors with the majesty of the Lake. From the balcony you can enjoy breathtaking views over Lake Como with the views to Bellagio and Punta Balbianello.
|Lake View Deluxe Room||
Lake View Deluxe Rooms are located at the corners of the Palace and offer beautiful views over the Riviera delle Azalee and Lake Como. The rooms are flooded with light thanks to two wonderful floor-to-ceiling windows, one of which opens onto the delightful balcony: the ideal place to relax and take in the charming scenery.
These lavishly refurbished rooms are a homage to the allure of early 20th-century style. The ultra-chic bathrooms are decorated with green San Nicolaus marble, with finishes in red Alicante or Spring Yellow marble. All have a separate shower and whirlpool bath. The generously-sized window means that views from the bathrooms are equally as enchanting.
|Suite Carlotta - Historic Suite||
This Suite is a tribute to the style of one of the most famous ladies ever associated with Lake Como: Princess Carlotta, the historic owner of wonderful Villa Carlotta and neighbor of the hotel.
This outstanding suite on the second floor of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo offers a spacious and inviting wood-panelled foyer leading into the drawing room, which is separated from the bedroom by two graceful arches.
The marble bathroom features a shower and whirlpool tub, offering spectacular views over the Lake. Two stunning balconies offer enviable Lake views.
|Suite Aurelia - Historic Suite||
Suite Aurelia pays homage to one of the “Great Ladies” of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and the magnificent suite even displays some of her personal collection of antiques.
Located on the third floor, Aurelia boasts two balconies with panoramic views of the lake and the village of Bellagio. The bathroom offers a whirlpool bath and separate shower.
|Suite Greta - Historical Suite||
As the most important historic suite, the Greta is inspired by the regal charisma of one of Hollywood’s greatest actresses. Greta Garbo in fact mentions the hotel in the famous film “Grand Hotel”.
Located on the first floor of the Palace, the magnificent Suite Greta has one bedroom, two bathrooms and a living area; the focal point throughout is the huge private terrace overlooking stunning Lake Como. A spacious wood-panelled foyer leads into the drawing room, which is discreetly separated from the bedroom by a wall with two graceful arches.
Beautifully finished with fine marble, the master bathroom has a shower and central whirlpool bath: settling back in the bubbling water is the ideal way to enjoy the backdrop of the Lake.
The Suite's superb terrace has a marvelous view across the lake to Bellagio.
The newest addition of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo suites, Emilia is located in the 18th century Villa Emilia and features a private entrance to the exclusive T Spa.
Set independently from the main hotel, Suite Emilia is ideally suited for guests looking for absolute privacy, whilst retaining access to all the amenities and comforts of the hotel itself.
Boasting a classic yet contemporary style, Suite Emilia offers marvelous lake views and a luxurious bathroom with steam bath and a double rain shower.
The classically decorated and peaceful Garden Suite is located within the parkland of the hotel.
With a separate bedroom, two bathrooms and private access to a small garden, the Garden Suite offers ideal accommodation for a family, sleeping up to 2 adults and 2 children.

Rooftop Junior Suites on the top floor have their own private butler and are furnished with a mix of period and contemporary pieces.
With sumptuous bathrooms, these Junior Suites have a stunning master bedroom and living area which opens out onto a spectacular private terrace with side views over Lake Como, looking towards Bellagio or Balbianello. A whirlpool bath makes the terrace simply unique.
|Rooftop Corner Suites||
Set at the corners of the Palace roof, the Rooftop Corner Suites offer a wood-panelled foyer leading to the stunning bedroom, where a delightful balcony looks straight out over the water.
The fabulous views over stunning Lake Como can also be admired from the wonderful Cedarstone marble bathroom, with its spectacular central island, shower and panoramic whirlpool bath with large window.
The living room combines antique and contemporary furniture and leads out onto the private terrace with heated whirlpool bath, offering 180° views of the lush grounds and the rooftops of Tremezzo.
|Rooftop Front Suites||
With a spectacular setting, the two Front Suites are the most exclusive of the Rooftop Suites. Breathtaking views await from the drawing room and the furnishings in the living and dining area combine elegant antique pieces with stylish contemporary design.
In the bedroom there is a spacious dressing room and the bathroom is decorated in warm-grained Imperial marble with a whirlpool bath and separate shower.
The living area and bedroom open out directly onto the stunning terrace with heated whirlpool bath.
The Rooftop Penthouse is made up of an outstanding Front Suite with direct access to a Corner Suite.
The Penthouse offers spacious drawing rooms to stylish bedrooms, from bathrooms fitted out with sumptuous, exquisite marble to spectacular terraces with hot tubs, heated and lit for evening enjoyment also.
The Penthouse starts from 150 sq m as this can be made up from the entire Rooftop suite collection.
Children are welcome but there are no specific facilities at the hotel.
Guests at Grand Hotel Tremezzo are spoiled for choice with food choices. Sample delicious Italian fare at La Terraza, try a fondue or grilled meats at L'Escale or enjoy a delicious pizza at 'T Pizza', set on the beach level. T Beach is a grill restaurant offering an array of fish, meat, vegetable and cheese grills freshly prepared in front of guests, alongside a classic lido with umbrellas and sun beds.
Guests of Grand Hotel Tremezzo have plenty to choose from in the way of activities. With Lake Como on your doorstep there are water-sports aplenty - water-skiing, sailing, wind surfing, a seaplane excursion or fishing. Relaxing boat trips can be taken aboard the hotel's private ruy - a period Venetian motor boat perfect for exploring the lake in style.
For tennis enthusiasts there is a floodlit clay tennis court located at the top of the park and T Fitness is a small natural-daylight gym with a direct view of the lake. Golfers have a choice of seven of Italy's top 18-hole courses close by.
The Grand Hotel Tremezzo has something for everyone. There are three swimming pools in total, both indoor and outdoor; a floating pool on Lake Como, the Piscina dei Fiori located in the garden and T Spa's indoor infinity pool with 5 different types of Jacuzzi. The T Spa also offers a fantastic range of ESPA treatments.

Grand Hotel Tremezzo claims an enviable position on the shores of Lake Como. Across the lake is the charming town of Bellagio and the hills are dotted with stunning villas. The Grigne mountains act as a backdrop to the hotel.
When to go
Grand Hotel Tremezzo is a seasonal hotel and is open from March to November. The best time to visit Lake Como is Spring and Fall when the weather is ambient and the crowds have yet to descend on famous Lake Como. Later in the Summer it is still wonderful but expect crowds and high temperatures.
