The Lewa anti-poaching canine unit has been instrumental to the conservancies conservation over the years. With the help of this operation, Lewa has become home to 14% of Kenya’s entire rhino population. Guests can experience first-hand how these tracker dogs work. A group will pretend to be poachers and run away into the bush to hide, while the gods follow until they find the 'culprit.' Guests also have the opportunity to learn more about conservation from the teams trainers.
