Average time to visit
The only time to avoid Kenya is during the long rainy season in April and May. November is considered the short rainy season, however, these are less predictable and are much lighter. The best time of year to visit the Maasai Mara is during the Great Wildebeest Migration which tends to pass through the Mara between mid July to late October.

Nkorombo Serian Mobile Camp is located to ensure it makes the most of the high animal concentrations in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. It offers excellent opportunities to see the wildebeest migration and if you're lucky a spectacular Mara River crossing.
This is a traditional mobile safari camp that offers an authentic bush experience. With just 5 simple but comfortable tents you are far from the madding crowds and your guides will use their exceptional knowledge of the area to ensure that your game drives are as remote as possible and that your views of the great wildebeest migration are not being constantly interrupted by other vehicles as can so often happen in the Mara with less superior guides.
As well as viewing the migration and trying to catch a river crossing there are plenty of other activities to keep you busy here. Bush walks, river fishing, horse riding, day visits to Lake Victoria and balloon safaris can also be organised. As far as meals are concerned you can enjoy eating in a different location every day as your guides will organise picnic breakfasts, lunches and sundowners and even starlit dinners for those who enjoy a little romance. Evening meals are set up in different areas of the camp every night and everyone often congregates around the camp fire afterwards to share their stories from the day.
Each of the five tents here overlooks the rushing Mara River, bursting with wallowing hippos and snapping crocodiles. The tents have en-suite bathrooms with traditional bucket-style safari showers. The mess tent is comfortable and sociable with a dining area and lounge leading out to the campfire by the river and the marvellous hippo barbeque. The woodland setting on the banks of the river gives the camp an intimate and cosy feel and your Masai hosts are wonderful at making your stay as enjoyable as possible.
Five tented suites, each with en-suite bathrooms with traditional safari bucket showers and flush toilets.
Children are welcome at the camp but some activities may be age restricted.

Sleep in Serian's Nest
Set high in an Elephant Pepper tree, in the heart of Serian's private walking area, and enjoying views down to the Mara River is "The Nest". There's plenty of space for the whole family to siesta during the day or spend a memorable night out in the bush.
