Water lovers will be in their element at this resort, which features a series of three tiered heated pools and Jacuzzi island, which link the Dead Sea to the soft sandstone hues of the Holiday Inn Resort Dead Sea. What’s more, the private beach area boasts a mud station, so you can really benefit from all the natural goodness and healing properties found in the mud and salty waters of the area. This is a comfortable resort with modern facilities, contemporary décor and excellent service. The hotel is around an 45-minute drive from Amman international airport.

The rooms and suites all have balconies with either mountain or sea views, and all are generously-sized. Amenities include air-conditioning, an en-suite bathroom with bathtub, sofa bed, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV, Satellite TV, complimentary soft drinks minibar, safe, workspace and the option for a rollaway bed. Suites include a separate shower and separate living room. There are sofa beds and interconnecting rooms to accommodate families.

Guests enjoy various dining options including all-day dining at Al Deera serving themed buffet-style food; Below 393, a steakhouse serving up at 393-metres below sea level and the Horizon Terrace, an outdoor bar and restaurant overlooking the Dead Sea which often features live entertainment. For drinks and snacks, the vibrant poolside Dive Inn Bar is a popular hangout, while The Lounge is a more sophisticated environment for cocktails and sundowners.

A highlight of the property is the three tiered and heated pools which incorporate a Jacuzzi island and with plenty of sun loungers, the pool area never feels crowded. Guests can also enjoy a massage or beauty treatment at the Shape Up Spa, which includes a sauna and hot tub, or get active with a workout in the fitness centre. Children are well-catered for with a shaded pool, kid’s club and play area.
