The climate in this part of the Dolomites is a typical alpine microclimate - winters are long and cold and from December to February average temperatures are below zero and night time temperatures can fall to minus 20°C. There are great differences between daytime and night time temperatures. Winters are snowy but approximately 100 days of sunshine between December and March is the norm.

Established 50 years ago, and beautifully run by the Maturi family, the Majestic Mountain Charme has a reputation for fabulous hospitality. Ideal for groups of friends, couples and families alike, the hotel ensures guests experience the best of the region and its ski area. Rooms in the hotel are spacious and well decorated - some with an Alpine theme, and others more contemporary in design. The Majestic Gourmet, the hotel's fine dining restaurant, has an elegant atmosphere and serves gastronomic local dishes and international cuisine. And the sommelier ensures you have the right wines accompanying everything you choose from the menu. Il Ristorante, the hotel's other restaurant, features delicious locally inspired dishes. The hotel has a lounge and bar with fireplace, where you can have a cocktail, or just indulge in the delicious pastries on offer. Guests can also take advantage of the smoking lounge. Its unusual location gives it panoramic views over Madonna di Campiglio, the ski slopes and mountains.
Known as the Pearl of the Dolomites, Madonna di Campiglio is one of Italy's premier ski resorts. Lesser known to British skiers, the village is an exclusive yet unpretentious resort, nestling at an altitude of 1550 metres in the valley between the Brenta Dolomites and the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella. It enjoys both a good snow and sun record and with its differing terrains works well for skiers of all levels.
There are three types of room, ranging from the comfortable to the elegant and spacious Suites with their views of the mountains. All have very good bathroom facilities and are comfortable and welcoming.
The recently renovated Superior Rooms are contemporary in style, in natural woods and stone.
Interconnecting rooms can be arranged, accommodating families of up to six people.
Each Junior Suite is slightly different from the other. Each has a separate bedroom and living area, and is designed in a contemporary yet welcoming style. The marble baths are particularly relaxing. These suites can accommodate up to three people.
The three suites are all slightly different, with two of them accommodating up to four people, and the third with room for up to five people. Elegantly decorated, they are all located on the fourth floor with fabulous views towards the Cinque Laghi piste and the mountains. They are all spacious and have luxurious en-suite facilities.
The hotel has two restaurants - Il Ristorante, which serves modern local dishes with a daily changing menu, and the Majestic Gourmet which is also open to the public. The Spa has a great position on the top floor of the hotel, with amazing views over the Dolomites and the village. Children under 16 years old are allowed in the Spa until 4pm.

I love the location of the Majestic Mountain Charme. You are in the centre of the town, amongst the hussle and bustle of the pedestrian area with the Cinque Laghi ski lift across the road from the hotel. For me, a highlight was the rooftop spa with stunning views across Madonna. The Majestic is a family run property with particularly friendly and welcoming service. The restaurant overlooks the river and there is a relaxing Italian atmosphere here. If you enjoy being centrally located, close to the buzz of town, with good service in house this is great property for you. As a 4* property it is good value for money when you consider its location, facilities and the service too.

Majestic Mountain Charme is a beautiful four-star superior hotel positioned on the pedestrian square in in the centre of Madonna di Campiglio. It is the heart of the community with wonderful views from its rooftop spa and located right opposite the Cinque Laghi ski lift for easy access to the slopes. You feel right at home with the warm welcome and the family feel to the hotel which offers something for all whether it be families or couples. It really does tick all the boxes if youre looking for a great quality mountain hotel in the Dolomites.

If you enjoy being in the heart of a resort at the centre of all the action then the Majestic Mountain Charme is worth a visit. It really has a super location, directly opposite the Cinque Laghi Express making it virtually ski in/ski out. However the biggest 'wow' at this hotel has got to be the spa - situated on the roof top, the views are simply stunning and in the Spring when it's warmer, you can even sunbathe on a sun lounger on the roof top terrace. It really makes a change having the spa at the top of the building rather than down in the basement which is usually the way. It's light, has an amazing coloured light system and an array of treatments and facilities to keep spa lovers chilled and relaxed. Utter bliss.
