Garden and Villas Resort is perfectly placed just 500m from Piazza Santa Restituta, the heart of the town of Lacco Ameno, and is surrounded by acres of peaceful, lush gardens. Brimming with Mediterranean plants and herbs, walkways are beautifully scented with rosemary and lavender and shaded by palm trees and there are lots of lovely spots to sit and read a book.
The hotel's 50 rooms are housed in nine Mediterranean style villas with balconies or terraces overlooking the gardens. Bedrooms are spacious and have marble bathrooms, most with Jacuzzi bathtubs.
There is a huge outdoor heated swimming pool and a lovely pool area equipped with sun loungers and umbrellas. The main restaurant, Il Corbezzolo, is at the end of the pool and serves absolutely fantastic typical Mediterranean fare - mouthwatering seafood and the freshest locally sourced produce - much of which comes straight from the hotel's vegetable patch. The buffet is sensational - piled high with Ischian pastries, delicious home-made marmalades, honey and bread, fresh fruit and plenty more!
There is so much to do in Ischia and Garden and Villas is the perfect base. A short walk from Lacco Ameno which offers a great choice of wonderful local restaurants, lively bars and shops; even closer to the Bay of San Montano and the infamous Negombo thermal spa gardens. A day's boat trip exploring the coves and bays of the island, or further afield to Capri is a must, as well as exploring the island's sights.
The Garden and Villas' owners, Luigi and Rita are the icing on the cake at this lovely hotel - completely charming and from the moment you arrive will do anything and everything to ensure you have what you need for a wonderful stay.
