Straddling the equator, Indonesia tends to have a fairly even climate year-round. Rather than four seasons, Indonesia has two – wet and dry – and there are no extremes of temperature between winter and summer. Given the different climates throughout the archipelago, the vessel is able to operate different expeditions at different times of year. Between either October or November (depending on weather) until May, Lamima operates expeditions to explore the magical waters of Raja Ampat, and from June to October, the expedition changes course for the mythical islands of Komodo and Flores.

Enjoy a one in a lifetime journey across Indonesia on Lamima, the world's largest wooden sailing yacht. At 65m, this charming sailboat can take up to fourteen guests on an incredible private charter through Raja Ampat or the islands of Komodo and Flores.

Sail the South Asia seas on board Lamima, a two-masted phinisi which comprises seven luxurious cabins. Different routes will take you on a exhilarating journey around the Mergui Achipelago in Burma, through the Andaman Sea in Thailand or through Indonesia discovering either Raja Ampat or Flores, Komodo and the surrounding islands. Choose to charter the entire yacht for your own private use, or book a cabin on one of the boat's set departure dates.

The vision for Lamima came from Marcelo Penna, a yacht designer from Barcelona. Built on Sulawesi island by a skilled and dedicated team, this extraordinary superyacht took a painstaking three years to create. The result of this remarkable project, one of the finest modern yachts of its kind; guests can expect a traditional Indonesian sailboat but with all the modern conveniences you'd expect.

On board you feel instantly welcomed by the nineteen-man crew. Guests will be extremely well looked after by the staff which includes expert dive instructors, spa therapists and a chef who will create a mix of Indonesian and European dishes to delight. Long lazy lunches and sunset beach barbecues make for some perfect downtime during your adventure. With ample space to relax and lounge in the library or under the stars on deck, end an action packed day delighting in the pleasure of doing nothing.

Inside the boat, the seven double cabins are lavish and comfortable. Divided up into the opulent master cabin, four double and two twin cabins, Lamima is the perfect choice to celebrate a special occasion with your loved ones. The yacht can be exclusively hired or guests can opt for one of the shared charters, the choice is yours. Perfect for both sailors and non-sailors, Lamima offers comfort that is much more akin to a villa or hotel than an average yacht.

On your journey through Indonesia you can visit active volcanoes, desolate and pink sandy beaches, enjoy diving with manta rays or hiking some incredible trails on search of the Komodo dragon. Get a real sense of this extraordinary region, the rugged, unspoilt landscapes and glimpses of dolphins swimming alongside the boat a common sight. Guests on all Lamima charters will have full use of all the watersports equipment from jet skis to paddleboards and diving and snorkelling equipment which your PADI instructor can help you with. Lamima allows guests to spend their days exploring exquisite archipelagos, discovering the marine life of the world's best diving destinations and wildlife that inhabit these outstanding volcanic landscapes.
