The Taj Ganges is set amidst 40 acres of lush green gardens, a haven of peace and tranquility in the crowded and ancient temple city of Varanasi. The hotel is only 6kms away from the city centre and the commercial hub. Varanasi, situated on the left west bank of the River Ganga, has been a cultural and religious centre in northern India for several thousand years and is held in high regard by Hindus, Buddhists and Jains.
The hotel has 130 rooms and suites, and are all tastefully furnished to a high standard with views of the gardens or swimming pool. Opt for a suite for extra space with city views.
There are two dining options at the hotel; an international restaurant called Chowk that serves a variety of cuisine and an Indian speciality restaurant Varuna. Guests can also enjoy the swimming pool, tennis court and a children’s activity centre as well a colonial themed bar.
