Due to temperatures and precipitation, Delhi and much of northern India can be an extreme place to visit during certain months of the year. The hottest months of the year are May and June, during which time temperatures can get up to 40°C. The coldest months are from December until February whilst the monsoon season is from the end of May through to August. During this time although the the temperature cools, the humidity is very high, and rainstorms are frequent. It is not advised to visit during these months. Insider's View

A great alternative to the Oberoi, just without the view of the Taj Mahal.

It is worth bearing in mind that there are no lifts so the hotel isn't great for disabled access

Ask for a drink on the Taj Mahal Terrace, a watch the sun go down over the Taj Mahal.

Enjoy a meal at the hotel’s popular restaurant Peshawri which offers traditional Mughal food. The daal is really delicious and well worth trying.

Opt for an upgrade to the Mughal Chambers, instead of Mughal Rooms, as it’s a little more spacious and includes many more amenities.

After an amazing visit to the Taj Mahal, round off this ethereal and tranquil experience with an Ayurveda spa treatment

The ITC Mughal is a big, luxurious hotel in Agra and is in close proximity to the Taj Mahal. The whole hotel follows a contemporary-Mughal design and has 35 acres of gardens. The ITC Mughal is a great choice for families as they offer lots of different activities including tennis, badminton and croquet, as well as a kids centre. Theres a wide selection of rooms and suites, although some of the bedrooms do feel a little dated.

The ITC Mughal is of an international standard with spacious rooms and a fantastic spa with a pomegranate theme. After the Oberoi, it is probably the next most luxurious option in Agra.

The ITC Mughal is, as the name suggests, inspired by the Mughal Empire. The opulence of the time is clearly reflected in the design of the hotel, and visible the second you walk into the lobby. The Mughal provides a haven away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and is definitely one of the top choices for an often quick stop over in Agra.
