Whale watching from Snaefellsnes
Snaefellsnes, western Iceland
The Snæfellsnes Peninsula in the west of Iceland is regarded as one of the best places to observe orca whales in their natural habitat. In the summer, you may spot an array of other whale species too, including minke and humpback whales.
Head out on the water with a professional guide and keep your eyes peeled for killer whales in the waters of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, as they breach just metres from your boat. Orcas can be seen here in both winter and summer, whilst a visit in the summer increases your chances of spotting other whale species, as well as a range of birdlife.
