The Ammothines has 15 suites, many with wonderful views over the coastline. Tastefully chic, with clean lines, neutral furnishings, warms woods and cool marble, the air of serenity makes it easy to relax. All have a private furnished balcony and lounge area but vary in size and level of sea view. Amenities include climate control, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, premium linens, safety deposit box and marble bathroom with walk-in rain shower, Korres bath products and hairdryer. Couples can book a Deluxe or Superior Sea View Suite, while the Comfort Partial Sea View Suites sleep up to three. Larger families can opt for a Partial Sea View Maisonette, sleeping up to five or groups have the option to book Adjacent Partial Sea View Maisonettes, which can accommodate up to 10 guests.
Breakfast is included and served on the terrace, with food inspired by the family’s Turkish heritage, so expect delicious spinach and feta pies, rice pudding topped with honey and nuts and eggs prepared to order. While there is no restaurant, Ammothines does have an evolving snack menu and there are several local restaurants within walking distance.
The large L-shaped pool, lined with stylish loungers overlooks the beach and the hotel provides pool and beach towels. There is also a discount for hotel guests booking the serviced cabanas and sunbeds on Plaka Beach itself.
While there are restaurants within walking distance, we would recommend a car to explore more of the delights of Naxos. These include the town of Chora, the mountain village of Apeiranthos and the lively resort of Agios Prokopios.
