Germany is a year-round destination. The Christmas markets are particularly fun and great for getting into the festive spirit. The country looks particularly beautiful in spring and summer, and some of the best weather for sight-seeing can be had in autumn, when days are generally mild and clear.

Itinerary

Day 1-7

Munich and Bavaria, Germany

Day 1: Aying Brewery Experience

Your Bavarian adventure begins with something genuinely local. After settling into your hotel, a private driver whisks you to Aying's renowned brewery for a behind-the-scenes tour of one of Europe's most advanced brewing facilities. Learn the precise art behind their award-winning beers, every temperature, every ingredient calibrated to perfection. Afterwards, join locals in the beer garden, raising a freshly tapped glass amid rustic tables and traditional fare. It's an authentic introduction to Bavarian culture, where craftsmanship meets conviviality.

Day 2: Munich Immersion & Trachten Fitting

Your guide brings Munich's historic heart to life, the towering Frauenkirche, bustling Marienplatz, and the vibrant Viktualienmarkt, where you'll sample regional delicacies as you stroll. Then delve into brewing heritage at the Beer & Oktoberfest Museum, followed by a tasting of four local beers with warm pretzels. Cap the day with a traditional Trachten fitting, try on authentic Dirndls or Lederhosen with expert guidance. It's cultural immersion that goes beyond observation, inviting you to truly inhabit Bavarian tradition.

Day 3: Oktoberfest – Lunch Session

Today belongs to the world's most famous festival. Your host meets you at the hotel and escorts you through the crowds to your reserved seats in one of the legendary tents. No queuing, no stress, just the atmosphere, the music, and the celebration. Food and drinks are included, whether it's a three-course feast or shared platters and steins. You're seated, settled, and free to soak up the spectacle. When you're ready to leave, your host guides you back with a standby transfer waiting. Pure festivity, perfectly orchestrated.

Day 4: Regensburg & Walhalla

Venture beyond Munich with your private driver to Regensburg, a UNESCO-listed medieval gem on the Danube. Your guide reveals the Stone Bridge,a model for Prague's Charles Bridge, the Roman Porta Praetoria, and the soaring St. Peter's Cathedral. Then journey to Walhalla, a neoclassical temple perched above the river, honouring Germanic history and culture. It's a day that trades beer tents for cobbled streets and ancient gates, offering depth, beauty, and a quieter rhythm. History feels tangible here.

Day 5: Deutsches Museum & Oktoberfest Evening

Spend the day exploring the colossal Deutsches Museum, 50,000 square metres of scientific wonder, from sailing ships to space probes. Interactive exhibits captivate all ages, and the dedicated Kid's Kingdom ensures young explorers stay enthralled. Later, return to Oktoberfest for the evening session. Your host collects you again, leading you to your reserved seats for another round of Bavarian revelry under the tent lights. Two very different experiences, one brilliantly varied day, curiosity in the afternoon, celebration by night.

Day 6: Lake Chiemsee & Herrenchiemsee Palace

Your driver takes you to Lake Chiemsee, Bavaria's largest lake, often called the "Bavarian Sea." Board a ferry to Herreninsel, where King Ludwig II built Herrenchiemsee Palace, his opulent homage to Versailles and a newly crowned UNESCO World Heritage Site. A guided tour reveals gilded halls, mirrored galleries, and the King's obsessive devotion to French grandeur. It's breathtaking, eccentric, and utterly captivating. Surrounded by water and Alpine views, it's a fitting finale to your Bavarian journey, beauty, history, and a touch of royal madness.

Day 7: Departure

Your final morning is yours to savour, perhaps a last coffee in Munich's old town or a leisurely breakfast at the hotel. When it's time, we'll transfer you privately to the airport, leaving you with memories of beer gardens, baroque palaces, festival tents, and medieval towns. From beginning to end, every detail has been considered, every transition smooth. You've experienced Bavaria beyond the obvious, and we've ensured it unfolded effortlessly.Retry
