Méribel offers great skiing throughout the winter. The Méribel valley itself has both sunny south facing slopes, which are ideal on colder days, and higher more shaded skiing on Mont Vallon with snow-sure slopes. On one side, the north-facing slopes of Courchevel offer further great skiing and on the other, the Val Thorens valley has some of Europe's highest altitude skiing. Easy access to the entire Three Valleys makes it hard to beat from December through to late April.

Bringing a contemporary edge to the traditional mountain chalet, Le Coucou is a stylishly appointed ski-in ski-out hotel with access to the slopes of Méribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens, accompanied by a superb spa and first class restaurants.
This five-star ski chalet combines an enviable location with elegant interiors to create a property that is both relaxing and invigorating. Ski out onto the renowned slopes of Méribel or onwards to Courchevel, feast on succulent steaks with views over the ski slopes to the frosted mountains beyond, or dive into the crystal clear waters of the pool, once again with views of the beckoning slopes.
The 16 rooms and 39 suites play with the traditional concept of a chalet and bring a contemporary splash with a warming colour palette, tactile materials and quirky shapes. Nespresso machines, Smart TVs, heating and minibars create a home-from-home on the slopes, while most feature a balcony for morning coffees with a view.
Post-ski appetites have been considered in the planning of the menu at both Bianca Neve and Restaurant Beefbar, with delicious pasta dishes, Australian Wagyu and Japanese Kobe beef joining an extensive wine cellar and irresistibly tempting dessert buffet. Cosy up in the bar for an après-ski warmer or settle down for the evening with live music (on certain nights) and innovative cocktails. After a day of challenging runs, the Tata Harper spa with its indoor and outdoor pools, fitness room, hammam, sauna and jacuzzi is a welcome sight.
With 330 pistes and 155 ski lifts, Le Coucou has access to the biggest ski area in the world for both skiing and snowboarding. Stretching across the three valleys of Méribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens, guests can explore 600km of slopes connected by the summits, with 62,000 vertical metres of skiing. Sledging, hot air balloon rides and snowshoeing add an extra dimension to your stay.
Whether curled up with a book looking out at the ski slopes from the warmth of the bar, or heading out from the hotel directly onto the slopes, Le Coucou offers a welcoming, homely yet stylish escape in the dazzling beauty of the Alps.
Alongside its 55 guestrooms and suites, Le Coucou offers two chalets which each contain four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a dining room, library and living room that opens onto a balcony. While benefiting from access to the spa facilities of the main chalet, they boast their own private pool, sauna, hammam and treatment room. With a butler on hand, they offer a private ski-in ski-out escape within reach of the facilities of the main property.
Children are as well catered for at Le Coucou as adults and even the bathrooms offer toiletries for younger guests. With delicious children’s menus and an imaginative kid’s club, Le Coucou is as much for children as it is their grown-ups. The Petit VIP Club comprises of a kids club for children aged 3-9 years and a teens for 10-15 year olds.
After a long day on the slopes, Le Coucou welcomes you home to a delicious meal or soothing massage in the spa. Large windows abound, meaning you’re never far from a picture-perfect view of the slopes or a chance to watch as other skiers glide past. While parents enjoy the bar, drift away in the spa or dine on Wagyu beef, younger guests can be entertained in the Kid’s Club, complete with an imaginative world to enchant smaller children and babies, while teenagers can make friends over a game of table tennis or a karaoke session.
|Bianca Neve Restaurant||
A restaurant concept created by Riccardo Giraudi, Bianca Neve is entirely dedicated to Italian cuisine.
Beefbar offers the opportunity to try meats with the most prestigious origins, all matured and prepared to perfection. Specialities include sizzling sharing dishes served in cast iron dishes, risottos, pasta, salads and healthy yet delicious children's menus. The restaurant opens at midday for skiers to ski straight up to the sunlit terrace for a cosy lunch.
|Le Coucou Bar||
The Bar is the perfect place to get together at any time of the day, reflecting the spirit of Le Coucou, chic yet relaxed, elegant and warm. It is the perfect spot to admire the skiers on the slopes opposite while enjoying a coffee, snack or lunch. At cocktail hour, Le Coucou's barman serves signature drinks with live music.
While much of your time will be spent skiing or snowboarding on the pistes of Méribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens, the area also offers access to a variety of activities. Children will love pony sledging along nature trails or speeding round a track on a snowmobile, while snowshoeing or horseback riding is a chance to explore the breathtakingly beautiful forests of the valley. More advanced skiers can try ski-joëring, an exhilarating experience that sees you pulled along, at a gentle pace or a gallop, by a horse.

Le Coucou is a fresh, minimal style hotel that sits above Meribel centre on the slopes. All rooms are spacious - the hotel hasnt compromised on size, and all have a balcony to enjoy the views of Meribel below. The small spa has a lovely indoor and outdoor pool, and there are two restaurants to chose from so half board doesnt ever get boring for families staying for a week. There's lots of interconnected room options and a ski hire shop on site so its all very convenient for families. Not for beginner skiers, the slope is a red run, but the hotel offer a complimentary shuttle to the base of the lifts for ski school.

Newly opened in Meribel, perched right on the slopes above Meribel Centre, Le Coucou is in a great location for more confident skiers as you can ski straight out onto an easy red run. The quirky styling offers a fresh touch, from the bold lighting to fun avian references reflecting the name of the hotel. I would highly recommend a dinner at the famous Beefbar restaurant for the innovative mashed potato alone!
Chalet de la Marine, Val Thorens
Have a dinner party with a difference! Dine at 2,500m altitude with Val Thorens' highest restaurant Chalet de la Marine with your friends or family.
Skiing The Three Valleys
Being part of the three valleys means Courchevel has access to a vast area of pistes for your enjoyment, 600km of them to be exact.
Sledging & Pony Sledging from Le Coucou
Enjoy sledging or pony sledging from Le Coucou, a thrilling activity to enjoy for both adults and children alike.
Snowshoeing in Meribel
Experience the tranquillity of the snowy mountains as you trek through on snowshoes with a private guide, leaving behind all the hustle and bustle and lift queues on the pistes.
