Amongst the tracts of virgin forest and densely jungled foothills of the Arenal volcano lies Amor Arenal, a collection of luxurious jungle cabins overlooking the distant peak of the volcano and the surrounding forest terrain.
31 luxury lodgings are spread throughout the jungle, with wraparound wooden balconies and floor-to-ceiling glass designed to make the most of the views. Hardwood floors and natural materials emphasise the hotel’s connection with nature, with stone walls and thermally heated plunge pools a constant reminder of the proximity to the mighty Arenal volcano. To venture further afield, horse riding expeditions start at Amor Arenal and strike out into the canyon and across the foothills of the volcano, perhaps stopping en-route for a picnic or a swim. Further afield there are many jungle adventures on offer. From canyoning to ziplining, all originate in the vibrant town of La Fortuna, just a short drive from Amor Arenal.
