The Singular Patagonia
  • Prepare to be swept back in time – this unique hotel overlooking the fjords was a former meatpacking warehouse and has now been lovingly reimagined as a luxury property

  • An exemplary showcase of contemporary design blending beautifully with industrial chic, the hotel enjoys a spectacular location with a mountain backdrop and endless views of Patagonia

  • Foodies can rejoice as the kitchen produces some innovative dishes using the region’s best ingredients and the bar staff serve killer cocktails with an original twist

  • Hop in a kayak or on-board the hotel’s private speedboat and explore the majestic fjords, lagoons and glaciers nearby

The Singular Hotel is set on 100 acres bordering the shores of the Fjord of Last Hope surrounded by rugged Patagonian landscape and mountains. Located near to Puerto Natales, a stay here perfectly complements a visit to the Torres del Paine National Park, giving travellers a chance to immerse themselves in the fjords and channels, visiting remote glaciers onboard the hotel's comfortable motorboat.

The hotel itself combines cutting edge architecture with the building’s historical industrial heritage (it used to be a cold storage plant in the early 1900s). There’s a fascinating museum onsite that showcases an incredible collection of original machinery, engines and other artefacts echoing the area’s history.

You’ll find floor to ceiling windows throughout the property, which maximize the fabulous views. All this glass is juxtaposed with Victorian brickwork, steel girders, lofty ceilings and gleaming century-old machinery. Far from being stark, there are deep leather armchairs, fireplaces and cosy nooks for relaxation. The rooms are spacious, and you’ll find all the mod cons of a modern luxury hotel whilst enjoying fantastic views from your bed across the lake and surrounding scenery.

The hotel's team of expert guides host expeditions throughout this remote and spectacular region and whether you’re an adrenaline thrill seeker or nature-loving birdwatcher, there is something for everybody. With over 20 different expeditions, of varying degrees of difficulty, guests can navigate the waterways, trek past icebergs, kayak, explore by mountain bike or on horseback or visit a working Patagonian sheep farm.

Each day starts and ends with a delicious meal prepared from the open kitchen. The focus is on local ingredients such as King crab and Patagonian lamb. Picnics are usually prepared on full day trips. After a day in the great outdoors a glass of wine by the fire, massage in the spa or lap of the pool is a welcome reward.
