Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Santiago is a year-round destination but the most pleasant months to visit are October to April. Although summer (November to April) is hot, breezes disperse the smog that shrouds the city for most of the year and there is lots of sunshine. Over winter (June to September) you’ll see the Andes wreathed in snow and can ski nearby, but the weather is chilly and rain can be an issue. Spring-like September is Chile's national independence month, and is full of activity.

The Ritz Carlton Santiago has 205 rooms including Deluxe rooms, Junior Suites and Executive Suites as well as a Club level with Club Rooms and Club Suites.

Children are welcome to come and stay at the Ritz Carlton Santiago, and babysitting can be arranged upon request, but there are no specific facilities or guaranteed interconnecting rooms available.

Ritz-Carlton Santiago has a roof top swimming pool, spa and fitness centre, sauna, steam baths, Jacuzzi, three massage rooms, four restaurants, lounges, grand ballroom and business centre.

While the exterior of the Ritz-Carlton is utilitarian, this is undoubtedly Santiago's poshest and most intimate luxury hotel, with the most adept staff. Most important, this Ritz is more economical than its counterparts elsewhere, and it enjoys a more convenient location than the Hyatt given its proximity to fine restaurants, a Metro station, and a thriving economic hub of Santiago.

The guest rooms are luxurious in a home-spun floral kind of way; some Ritz devotees may be disappointed by the lack of butch glamour and antiquity that characterizes the Ritz brand. Still, each spacious room is quiet, spotless, and blessed with heavenly beds. The hotel has a fabulous rooftop health center under a glass dome that boasts a view of the city and the Andes. The spa offers reasonably priced massages, or you can request a bath butler who will prepare a decadent bath for you -- a soak in carmenère wine. The hotel's impressive lobby, which has a two-story rotunda, leads to the hotel lounge and a plush (usually smoky) wine bar. The Ritz's bar/restaurant 345 has quite possibly the best wine list in Santiago, and they've taken to hosting special weekend cocktail hours.
