This is the ideal time to visit for hiking, biking, climbing and rafting while the ski season runs from November to May. There are 764 Rooms and Suites at Fairmont Banff Springs, spread between the main building, the Stanley Thompson wing and the castle. Views range from the hotel grounds to the mountains and valleys of surrounding Banff National Park. All rooms come equipped with tes/coffee making facilities, cable TV with in-room pay movies and hairdryers, while many also come with air conditioning. Additional beds can be added and interconnecting rooms are available.
Fairmont Gold Rooms occupy the 4th and 5th floors and offer a separate reception, lounge and loads of extra services to make your stay that little bit more special. All come with air conditioning and Bose sound systems on top of the standard room amenities.
Fairmont Banff Springs is assuredly family-friendly, with options to add cribs, play pens and roll-away beds on request as well as interconnecting room options. Babysitting is available with advance notice and there is a Kids' Club for young guests too. A range of activities are offered to kids such as rafting tours and the Banff Gondola, along with horse riding, bowling and fishing.

Activities vary greatly in Banff from the Winter to the Summer months, but year round there is a great focus on the outdoors and it is a wonderful destination for guests who enjoy a more active holiday. In summer there is a large number of hiking trails to be enjoyed along with horseback riding, mountain biking and helicopter tours. We also recommend taking the Banff Gondola for fantastic views, just 5 minutes from the hotel.
In winter try snowshoeing, canyon ice walks, dog sledding and ice fishing as well as more traditional skiing. The resort also has its own Bowling & Entertainment Centre offering a range of games and entertainment facilities for ages 3 and up.
