Average time to visit
Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.

La Rose Suites is a luxurious 5-star boutique hotel & spa in the heart of Cambodia's bustling capital. It's a small, charming option which has a relaxed atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff.
Having opened just 18 months ago La Rose Suites has quickly established itself as a popular choice with visitors to Phnom Penh. It's elegant design and charming architecture make it a lovely choice for those looking at a smaller hotel with more of an intimate feel.
The hotel has lovely touches throughout with a prominent elephant theme - you can't help but love it simplicity and elegance. The rooms, at 42msq, are spacious, light and designed in a nice fashion. If you are travelling with a family they have two sets of connecting rooms which make up the family suites; all with ample room for an extra bed.
The hotel is located on a quiet street near the Independence Monument, the Royal Palace and National Museum, three of the main attractions of the city. It's also in the perfect location for a walk in the local park or a stroll along the riverside promenade where the cities main shops & restaurants are found.
The hotel also houses a lovely, narrow pool with a bar. There's also one treatment room for a massage. One of the best things we love about the hotel is that the warm welcome you get when you arrive and the excellent service which lasts until the moment you leave. The staff are extremely friendly and they'll do their very best to make you feel at home.
The room has 25 Junior Suite's which are beautifully decorated. They are 42 sqm each and there is 4 sets of connecting rooms.
Children of all ages are very welcome to come and stay at La Rose Suites but there are no specific facilities available for them except for babysitting.
La Rose Suites has one restaurant called Banana Tree which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's an A La Carte restaurant which serves both western and local food.
As La Rose Suites is a small, boutique property there is not too many activities on-site. It does however boast a lovely restaurant, small spa & swimming pool to enjoy during your downtime. The main activities and sights of the city are just a short walk away.

La Rose Suite is a really good option is you are looking for something a little smaller & more relaxed than the bigger name hotels in the city. I thought it was charming and really enjoyed my time there. Comprised of just 30 rooms its certainly got more of a boutique feel to it whilst not being pretentious. The rooms are all Junior Suites (some of which connect to become family suites) and are all lovely! At 42msq they are a really decent size and they are all designed in such a fantastic way with lots of little nice touches throughout. The hotels lobby area is smart and always filled with smiling staff that could not be any more friendly & helpful. The hotels owner is a huge fan of Elephants and this is demonstrated with pictures & ornaments scattered all over the hotel a lovely touch. Ill definitely be recommending La Rose Suites in the future!
