Do ask the team at Txai about the Turtle Conservation Project. Turtles start nesting in October, over the course of two months. You can see them heading to the beach from December to February. The team light their path to the beach from your bungalow with low flickering lights on the sand.

Txai Resort is located near the village of Itacaré on the Bahian coast. It's 48km north of Ilheus and 400km south of Salvador.

Ilheus is the closest airport, however there are no direct flights to Ilheus from abroad, so you'll need to fly via Salvador or Sao Paulo. Domestic airlines fly regularly from both airports to Ilheus. The flight time from Sao Paulo is 3-hour 40-minutes, from Salvador it's only 40-minutes. Txai Resort is a 45-minute drive from Ilheus Airport.
