The world’s oldest living culture, the Australian Aboriginal people, have lived in Sydney for thousands of years. Learning about their ancient traditions, history and culture gives a greater understanding of Australia’s most iconic city, still inhabited by the Eora Nation, the collective name given to the Aboriginal clans that live around Sydney’s coastline to this day.

Your private guide will conduct a traditional welcome ceremony, opening your mind and soul to the learnings of the land. You will then be taken on a 2-hour walking tour through Sydney's Botanic Gardens - giving you an insight into the oldest living culture on Earth. Discover the ancient history of the bush and ‘Caring for Country’.

You will learn about the traditional uses on the indigenous plants and animals, for medicine, food and ceremonial purposes, sampling some of the traditional recipes used by Aboriginal people.

From the Botanic Gardens, you will say goodbye to your Aboriginal guide and your Splendour host will take you on a scenic tour of Sydney’s Eastern Beaches. You’ll visit an authentic Aboriginal Art Gallery to view art sources from some of the most remote Aboriginal communities in the county.

You will stop for lunch at Coogee Beach giving you the chance to taste some of Sydney’s fresh and gourmet delights before being returned to your hotel around 2pm.
