Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Tasmania has a temperate climate with 4 distinct seasons. Warm summer days from December to February and sometimes snow in the cooler months of June to September. The best time to visit Tasmania is between October and April, when the weather is at its best. By May, nights are getting cold and days are getting shorter. Winters (June-Aug), especially in the high country, can be quite harsh- though that's the best time to curl up in front of a blazing fire.

Description
Accommodation throughout the Cradle Mountain Huts Walk is hut based offering simple twin share accommodation and hot showers. Offering clean and comfortable lodgings the emphasis is very much on limiting the impact on nature rather than luxury provisions.
Each hut along the overland track is clean and comfortable offering guests a welcome retreat after a day's hiking.
With a large emphasis on limiting environmental footprints, each hut has been designed to be environmentally sustainable and is powered by renewable energy and solar power. Rooms are on a twin share basis with hot water and communal dining areas.
After dinner guests can enjoy the selection of books and games found in each hut or alternatively can enjoy the outside decking with a glass of wine. The remote location of these huts is part of their appeal, your neighbours will be wildlife and, with no light pollution, the views of the Milky Way are utterly sensational.
A simple yet clean and comfortable hut based accommodation for the duration of your Cradle Mountain Huts Walk.
