Chatham is a picturesque seaside town located on the elbow of the Cape Cod. Choose to dine at the stylish Stars restaurant with breath taking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, or at the Beach House Grill right by the sand. Other than the obvious attraction of the sand and surf, there are plenty of activities on offer for all ages and interests: Why not charter the resort’s private jet boat over to the neighbouring island of Martha’s Vineyard? Or hire a bike and cycle some of the 35 miles of the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Drive through the dunes of Nauset beach in one of the hotel’s Landrovers (bring your international licence) or take a walk with the in-house naturalist through the Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge with its colony of Grey Seals.
The seas off Cape Cod are rich in marine life, whale excursions run from Provincetown throughout the summer and there’s fantastic sport fishing to be had from the hotel’s own state-of-the-art fishing boat. There are clay tennis courts, nearby golf courses and well-equipped fitness centre.
