Explore the Paro Valley by Helicopter

This morning, after breakfast, you will go for a helicopter ride of the Paro Valley. This helicopter tour using a 6-seater single engine Airbus H130 in the beautiful kingdom of Bhutan is filled with magnificent mountain scenery as well as a variety of landscapes which boasts of a wide array of flora and fauna along with views of some incredible architecture. The flight takes off from the Paro airport and takes you to some of the most iconic places around Paro before heading towards Mount Jomolhari which is also the source of the Paro Chu or the Paro River.
The tour will start from Paro airport with a flight over the Paro valley which is one of the widest valleys in the Kingdom of Bhutan. This picturesque valley is covered in fertile rice fields and has the beautiful Paro River meandering down through the valley. En-route it passes lovely rural scenery and some of Bhutan’s most famous sights like Paro Rinpung Dzong, Ta Dzong and the iconic Paro Takshang or the ‘Tigers Nest’ Monastery, Drugyel dzong and the Linghi Dzong.
Then the tour heads towards Mount Jomolhari flying along the Paro river over the Drugyel Dzong and Lingshi Dzong. The north face of Mount Jomolhari rises 2,700 meters (8,900 ft) and is straddled between Tibet and Bhutan. The helicopter will then land close to Mount Jomolhari for a short break where guests can enjoy the views as well as take photos along with some light snacks.
The rest of the day is at leisure or you may opt to visit Chele la pass and do a short hike there to Kila.
