It is very difficult to predict the weather in the United Kingdom - in the summer from May to late September is generally seen as the most pleasant time to visit. Rainfall is difficult to predict - but the UK does not receive as much as many are led to believe! In the winters, temperatures do fall, but the Christmas atmosphere in London is not to be missed.

Day 3 - The West Highlands and Over the Sea to Skye

This morning your guide will provide you an insight into the history of the surrounding area as you visit the Glenfinnan Monument and famous viaduct overhead. Spend time here before driving onwards to the coastal village of Mallaig. Stop at the wonderful silver sand beaches en route. Rain or shine this coastline provides something special, from the glistening waters reflecting the rays of the sun, to the atmospheric crash of the waves on the rugged rock formations. Later, board the ferry as you leave cross over the sea to the Isle of Skye.

Day 4 - The Fabled Isle

Step aboard your private chartered boat for the day and set off to explore the serene waters of the region on a memorable excursion. Enjoy a delicious lunch prepared fresh on deck as you take in the stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. Discover a lesser-known island, home to a variety of wildlife, and keep an eye out for the abundant marine life that calls these waters home. Relax and immerse yourself in the beauty of Scotland’s coastline, where every moment offers a blend of adventure, nature, and tranquility.

Day 5 - Forage on Foot

This morning you will meet with a local Ghillie and head off the beaten track to an idyllic spot, with the first hand benefit of your Ghillie’s insider knowledge. Together you will spend the morning searching for wild foods. The taste of your discoveries amongst the dramatic landscapes and fresh sea air will delight the senses.

This afternoon your guide will take you to visit the many wonders of Skye, and there is much here to choose from. Discuss options to suit you, whether you would prefer to hike the dramatic and geologically varied landscapes, or perhaps explore Skye’s cultural heritage, discovering hidden traces that remain from its rich and turbulent past.
