Make your way through the cobbled streets of Edinburgh's Old Town. In contrast to the Georgian architecture of the New Town, the Old Town is home to the famous Royal Mile, which runs between Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle. You guide will introduce you to the centuries-old architecture, and you'll discover the city's hidden closes, which are narrow twisting alleys leading off the main streets. You may even learn about the secret vaults and passages which lie beneath the streets!
From here you will venture to Edinburgh Castle, perched high atop Castle Rock. You'll be treated to a private guided tour of the castle, which houses the Scottish Crown Jewels and the Stone of Destiny, once used for crowning Scottish kings. Make sure you listen out for the one o'clock gun, fired at the same time every day from a cannon on the castle ramparts!
