Although I visited at peak time the resort never felt crowded. The rooms are contemporary and light with views looking back towards the city. It is quick and easy to access all areas of the hotel. The truffle fries at the pool bar were delicious. Visit over New Years Eve and be treated to a spectacular firework display over the city.

The Waldorf Astoria is a great value, stylish option on the Palm. Unlike some other sprawling hotels, everything here is located centrally, so it feels very quick and easy to get around. There is a quiet and elegant feel, which I feel is more suited to adults, but families are very welcome and there is a nice children's club.
