Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of ‘winters’ has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain.

The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference.

High summer (July and August) means heavy discounted hotels it’s a great option for a cheap getaway but it will be very very hot and very very humid!

The club is split into three rooms, with those aged 3 years and under in one room which has a napping area. Those from 3 to 6 years are provided with books, board games and arts and craft materials. Children from 6 to 12 years can play table tennis or video games, as well as watching DVDs with their parents' permission.

The St Regis has a wide range of dining options spanning cuisines of the world, and a number of lounges for more informal snacks and drinks.

The main restaurant, Oléa, is Mediterranean inspired and open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The 55th&5th Grill is inspired by the address of the original St Regis in New York, and has the ambience of a classic grill with jazz music to complete the American theme of the signature restaurant. Sontaya, located amidst a series of interconnected ponds and pools, caters for those who enjoy Southeast Asian cuisine. The laidback atmosphere of Turquoiz, located on the beach, makes it the perfect place to sample the delicious seafood on offer. The Manhattan Lounge is a great place for evening or post-dinner cocktails, particularly the signature Arabian Snapper - St Regis Saadiyat Island's version of the classic Bloody Mary. The Drawing Room is a delightful place to take afternoon tea, and pastries and cakes can be found at Sucré Patisserie.

The Athletic Club provides state of the art gym equipment, a 25-metre lap pool and a juice bar. There are also two tennis courts, two squash courts and four outdoor swimming pools.

The Iridium Spa provides relaxation and pampering at its very best.

The 18-hole Saadiyat Beach Golf Club surrounds the St Regis, although is externally managed.

Squash and tennis are available, as is gym equipment and a number of swimming pools. There are no motorised watersports as the beach is protected.

Outside the hotel, there is lots of sightseeing to be done, including the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque and the Yas Marina Circuit - home to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The Yas Marina Circuit is also open to the public on Tuesdays for running and cycling. The attractions on Yas Island, including Ferrari World, Yas Water World and The Abu Dhabi Mall are easily accessed and the stunning Louvre Abu Dhani is just a few minutes journey from the hotel.

The St Regis is a relaxing resort located on a lovely stretch of beach. This is a great option if you would like to be away from the hussle and bustle of Dubai but still only around an hours drive if you would like to visit. The kids club is one of the best I have seen in the area and offers an children's pool, sand pit and a large indoor area with different activities for different age groups.

The St. Regis was one of the best hotels I visited in the Middle East. From the moment I entered, it felt very spacious, luxurious yet comfortable. The lunch buffet was exceptional and it was really difficult to decide which dessert to go for, as there were numerous appealing options on display - it meant I had to try more than one! The children's club is one of the best I've seen, with various activities on offer for all age ranges.

The St Regis Saadiyat Island was one of my favourite hotels on my trip, the rooms are sunning as is the beach and the pool area, and you really do feel like you are in Paradise! Everything from the beautiful light and airy Reception area, through the care and attention in the Restaurants with the Buffet lunch that we had was excellent! There is even a bread, Arabic, meat hot & cold, salad, sushi, desert and pasta cooking section at lunch time so much to choose from and all excellent quality!

The rooms themselves have lovely large window white linen with touches of turquoise which make them have a chic and fresh feeling, with walk in showers and an egg bath most with view of the pool and sea.

Another lovely touch in the hotel is the indoor almost Olympic pool which is great in the summer or winter. The pool and sea are incredible, I have never felt water in the sea as hot as this and this was my first swim in the Arabian Gulf. During the Summer months, I highly recommend flip flops down to the waters edge as the sand is so hot! The Sea was 34.6 degrees at 8am and at mid-day I was informed by the life guard it would be 36 degrees soon, literally a bath! So they cool the pool so this is refreshing for you as the sea is amazing but not that refreshing! From the sea the St Regis looks very pretty especially with the pools and sun loungers. The Island is a conservation area due to Turtles laying and hatching their eggs here, so there no motorised water sports allowed.

This was the best Kids Club I saw in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Oman so I highly recommend this hotel for families and coupes as they seem to get everything right!

There is a little village that you can pop to with shopping outlets and restaurants which happens to be onsite but separate to the hotel. You can also pop next door to the 18 hole Golf Course which I hear is very popular!

I arrived here on a steaming afternoon driving over from Dubai. As you cross the bridge to Saadiyat Island from downtown Abu Dhabi the horizon clears and all you are left with is the white beaches and turquoise waters of the island and its surrounding archipelago. Entering the resort youre greeted by a large lobby bathed in light, the scent of Arabic oud filling the air. The dcor and feel of the hotel however are anything but Arabic to me it felt more Miami beach with whitewashed walls, marble and floor to ceiling glass windows. This look continues into the rooms with natural stone in the bathrooms and bright open space, it really feels relaxing and very beachy. The hotels main selling point is its fantastic pools and beach. As you leave the main building and step through the paths leading down to its main pool and separate adults only pool it all feels very chic but totally un-pretentious and a million miles from the beach resorts of Dubai. There is a magnificent childrens club, one of the best I have seen and a good choice of restaurants both in the hotel itself and in the adjoining village known as the Collection which is a group of shops and restaurants set around a courtyard separating the hotel and the privately owned residences that make up the entire complex. This is also the location of an excellent health club with big indoor pool, huge gym and squash courts. I would definitely recommend the St Regis for both families and couples looking for an easy beach break with minimal fuss in than extremely well run and organised resort.

This hotel has a lovely relaxed atmosphere, whilst retaining a feeling of exclusivity. The bedrooms are beautiful with lots of natural light and the butler service gives the experience an added bit of oomph. The seafood restaurant is lovely, with absolutely delicious food. The hotel very much has a classic feeling with a contemporary edge.
