Average time to visit
The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of ‘winters’ has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain.
This is also high season when most of the country’s festivals, sporting events, and conferences are held, so you’ll be paying top rates for accommodation in Dubai and will need to book well in advance. The Christmas and New Year period also gets busy.
The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference.
High summer (July and August) means heavy discounted hotels it’s a great option for a cheap getaway but it will be very very hot and very very humid!

Occupying the first eight floors (and floors 38 and 39) of the dart-shaped, 828-metre Burj Khalifa tower - Dubai's tallest skyscraper - Giorgio Armani's first hotel opened in 2010. As you'd expect from a venture such as this, in such a glitzy destination, the 160 rooms are ultra-luxurious. There are seven restaurants to choose from (serving Japanese, Indian, Italian or Mediterranean cuisine), plus an outpost of Peck, Armani's favourite Milanese deli. Every guest is appointed a personal Lifestyle Manager to guide them around the hotel's impressive array of facilities, including a nightclub, a spa and several boutiques.
X-factor The hotel's 'residences' - which range between 100 and 200sq ft - are the epitome of upmarket Italian glamour, many with views of the 490ft-high Dubai Fountain.

What I loved about this hotel is its unmistakable style. The hotel is very tasteful and if you are in Dubai for a stopover Downtown is the perfect place to be. There is so much going on and it is one of the few places where everything feels close to each other by comparison to how spread-out things tend to be in other parts of Dubai.
