Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

The best time to visit the UAE is between October and November and then February and March, when temperatures hang around the mid-20s and the humidity is under control. While December and January are generally considered the best months to go, the weather over the last couple of ‘winters’ has been unpredictable with occasional cloud and rain.

The month of Ramadan means hotel rates are heavily discounted, but while outside the resort, Ramadan is strictly adhered to, within the resorts you will notice very little difference.

High summer (July and August) means heavy discounted hotels it’s a great option for a cheap getaway but it will be very very hot and very very humid!

These clusters feature Lagoon View rooms on the first floor and Lagoon Access on the ground floor. The spacious Villas are either situated on the Beach Front with a Private Pool and direct access to the beach, or Over Water without a private pool.

Each day commences with a sumptuous breakfast at the all day dining restaurant, where classic Middle Eastern dishes are matched by the finest international cuisine. N.B. Dubai is a developing destination and building work is ongoing through the city. As such, guests should be aware they are more than likely to be able to view some sort of work from their hotel. However, the hotel continues to operate at a very high occupancy with a large number of repeat guests not being perturbed by the local works.

I really liked the Asian style of Anantara, and feel that the hotel will work particularly well for adults, for whom I would recommend the Lagoon access rooms, or over water villas. It's still a great option for families though, with apartments available in the main hotel block. The children's club is on the small side, but even outside of the school holidays was busy. A great all round choice and good value.

Kirsty Harper (Staff)

Something different for Dubai! A Thai style resort with an authentic long boat which can be hired for excursions and get around the resort in Tuk Tuks. I would recommend the lagoon access rooms, which also have space to relax on your balcony or the only over water villas in Dubai! Apartments are also available which would be more suited for families.

Marina Voak (Staff)

I loved the Asian feel of Anantara - something slightly different for Dubai. The hotel also has over water villas which offer a little more space. The Lagoon rooms, however, are generally quiet during the day as the children are usually at the main pool, so great if you want a little peace. I had dinner at Bushman's, the Australian restaurant, which had a great vibe and offered Emu carpaccio and Kangaroo steaks amongst other things!

Clare Monro (Staff)

Anantara the Palm has a very unique feel in Dubai due to its Thai style. The lagoon pools are lovely and for guests looking for a little more space, the Beach Pool Villas and Overwater Villas are great. The Lagoon Access Rooms are definitely worth going for over the Lagoon View Rooms because it gives you that added excitement of being able to get straight into the pool from your deck! We had dinner in the Australian restaurant, Bushman's, which I really recommend for its laidback feel - and kangaroo steaks!

Louisa Currey (Staff)

Anantara is different from the other properties on offer in Dubai due to its contemporary Thai design. Being a low rise property also has its advantages. For example there are no corridors- just outdoor walkways between the clusters of rooms, and there are only a few lifts, making this property feel like an escape from high rise Dubai city.
