Description
Surrounded by the dramatic landscapes of Cappadocia, the Taskonaklar Hotel is as quirky and atmospheric as the otherworldly rock formations and hills it overlooks. Individually designed rooms and a welcoming ambience create the feel of a home-from-home.
Seeming to grow organically from the iconic rocks, Taskonaklar Hotel is a delightful boutique hotel in the historic town of Uçhisar. Flower-laden terraces, courtyard gardens and cosy corners create a romantic retreat with breathtaking views over the stunning Pigeon Valley.
With eight Standard rooms, four Junior Suites, five Suites and five Royal Suites with hot tubs, the hotel offers a range of individually designed accommodation. From the atmospheric cave rooms with their stone walls and Turkish rugs to the Luxury Suite with its breathtaking views over Cappadocia, the rooms ooze character and charm. While the Suites have air-conditioning, the cave surrounds of the Junior Suites and Standard rooms create a naturally cooling effect that makes air-conditioning unnecessary.
The restaurant offers breakfast and dinner, with a focus on delicious Turkish cuisine and the bountiful breakfasts are a particular highlight. With a network of terraces and gardens there are plenty of spots to escape to, comfortable seating from which to enjoy the spectacular views and loungers where you can while away a few hours in the sun.
Though you’d be forgiven for not wishing to leave the welcoming embrace of the hotel, or its scenic gardens and relaxing ambience, the wonders of Cappadocia lie on your doorstep. Get an iconic view of the intriguing landscapes as you soar overhead in a hot air balloon, ride through the cragged landscape on horseback, explore ancient remains or soak in the tranquillity of the countryside with a sunset picnic.
