Kanchanaburi, Kanchanaburi and Ayutthaya, Thailand
The Lawa Cave is the largest in Kanchanaburi. There are a number of chambers, each with dramatic stalagmites and stalactites. The cave is also home to the Kitti bat, which is the world's smallest bat species.
The caves are reachable by boat or by car. If travelling by car, it is a 45-minute walk along a trail to reach the caves. The entrance to the caves is narrow, but they are spacious once inside, however visitors should expect it to be hot and humid.
