Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Offering warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. With an average of 9 hours sunshine a day the peak season runs from December through to April which is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months where you will find an increase in rainfall as the summer season goes on and with that some humidity, however the Summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. The wettest months with the most humidity are September and October and these are the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region although many islands have not experienced hurricanes for a number of years. The average daily temperatures range from the mid-seventies in the winter months and mid-eighties in the summertime.

Description
Cotton House is a superb romantic hotel on one of the Caribbean's most exclusive private islands with fantastic beaches. Once an 18th Century sugar plantation, the hotel is set in 13 acres of lush gardens where guests enjoy an unspoilt island lifestyle.
Mustique, in the heart of the Grenadines, only a short flight from Barbados or St Lucia, is one of the most exclusive private islands in the Caribbean, just three and a half by one and a half miles.
The Cotton House Hotel, carefully restored from the original 18th century coral warehouse and sugar mill, has 17 luxurious rooms, suites and traditional cottages set in the gardens surrounding the Great House. All the tastefully furnished rooms have king size beds, separate dressing rooms and private verandas.
Its main restaurant is acclaimed throughout the Caribbean, and the wines are excellent. Private dinners can be arranged at several locations on the resort and a picnic hamper can be taken on any of the nine beaches around the island. Other facilities include a swimming pool, spa and dive shop.
Mustique’s nine white sand beaches are easily reached by golf cart – the nearest one is about 30 meters away – with sailing, snorkelling, fishing and scuba diving all readily available. Sunset cruises can be arranged with local skippers, as well as day trips to nearby islands. Like Mustique itself, the mood at the Cotton House is whimsical and relaxed.

Reviews
Anna Northeast (Staff)
I loved this place. The airport is tiny when you arrive and within minutes youre at the Great House with a lovely cold drink in your hand, already unwinding. If youre not a fan of small planes like me, it wont be the most relaxed 45 minutes of your life flying over, but it is well worth it as when you get there as the island is beautiful.
Cotton House is the only hotel on the island. Most of the visitors, many of which are the rich and famous, have their own villas on the island as they are left well alone. Celebrity is not important here, dont be surprised if you find a famous person or two sipping a cocktail at the Great Room bar and no one batting an eyelid.
Despite the exclusivity, Cotton House has a wonderfully relaxed feel to it. You can dress for dinner or not, in fact many of the guests order room service as the suites are so comfortable that you may not wish to leave them.
Theres a couple of restaurants, one on the beach which is great for lunch and occasional dinners, or the Great Room where you can have a full a la carte dinner or more recently, tapas on the verandah.
The beach is lovely, there are rocks close to shore which make it difficult to swim from, however, theres a jetty that you can climb off the end of right into the beautifully warm turquoise water.
The spa is fabulous, not exactly cheap but they really look after you. It is wonderfully tranquil and indulgent.
All the accommodation is beautifully appointed, the Cottages are particularly popular as they are well priced and although a little cosy are still very beautiful and set close to the pool and Great Room. There are duplex suites which are perfect for families too. This is a great hotel for couples or families who dont need a childrens club. All are welcome and will feel comfortable.
I could go on and on about Cotton House but instead Ill just recommend you go there and experience it for yourselves.
