Grand Hotel Son Net sits within a vast estate commanding sensational views of the Puigpunyent Valley and surrounding UNESCO-listed Tramuntana Mountains. Originally built for European royalty, today the property is raising the game in the luxury Mallorcan hotel market. The stunning restoration makes the most of the property’s historic splendour with marble, stone and terracotta floors, beamed and vaulted ceilings, elegant archways, antique fireplaces, lavish textiles, gilt-framed artworks and antique furnishings. Add to this the stellar service, wonderful cuisine and abundant wellness opportunities and Son Net has everything required for a truly memorable stay.

Guests can choose from a room or suite in the palacio, the Pool Cottage Suites or the Pool Cottage House within the grounds. All are individually styled with exquisite attention to detail, highlighting original features and historic charm, but with modern conveniences including climate control and Wi-Fi. Opt for a Palace Room Terrace for private outdoor space. Entry level Galilea Junior Suites include an elegant seating area and marble bathroom, while larger suites offer the choice of private balcony, private garden, separate living and dining rooms and two bedrooms.

The four Pool Cottage Suites include a private garden and access to a shared pool. The décor reflects the character of the rest of the property, with spacious seating area and marble bathrooms. Alternatively, the Pool Cottage House is ideal for families, with two bedrooms, living area, and private garden with a swimming pool.

Son Net’s organic kitchen garden, orchards and vineyards produce much of the fare for the two restaurants. For relaxed Mediterranean dishes, El Gazebo serves accomplished dishes in an open-air kitchen on the poolside terrace, while the Green Bar celebrates the local cuisine with a selection of snacks and tapas, sophisticated drinks menu (including Son Net’s own Malvasia wines), and a choice of courtyard or salon setting. For sophisticated Mallorcan fine dining, book a table at Mar & Duix, located in an atmospheric beamed dining room, complete with 17th century olive press, stone walls and delightful terrace.

Along with a 17th century chapel, historic courtyard and glittering saltwater pool, Son Net boats a Spa & Wellness area with an indoor pool flanked by Moorish arches, series of treatments rooms and Romanesque thermal pools, as well as a well-equipped fitness centre. In terms of eco-credentials, Son Net’s water is sourced from a mountain spring, there’s a water purification system, energy-saving lighting and the hotel has a robust recycling and composting regime.
